8. True Repentance

Many Christians struggle to experience the fullness of the gospel because they have embraced faith without understanding the necessity of repentance. This study explains how God faithfully allows only those trials and temptations that believers are able to bear, using them to strengthen spiritual character. Drawing from Scripture, it demonstrates that repentance and faith are inseparable responses to the gospel, much like two essential elements that must remain together to produce life. The article further explores the biblical nature of repentance, the danger of heart-idols, the difference between sins of commission and omission, and the ongoing work of turning from everything that hinders fellowship with God. True repentance is not a one-time event but a lifelong attitude that progressively transforms believers into the likeness of Jesus Christ.

1 John 5:20

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
