Through the Bible – Message 31

Jonah & Micah
The books of Jonah and Micah reveal both the seriousness of disobedience and the extraordinary compassion and mercy of God. Jonah shows us a God whose heart reaches even toward a wicked city like Nineveh, a God who disciplines His servant yet gives him another opportunity to fulfill his calling, and a God who responds to genuine repentance with mercy. Micah confronts corrupt leadership, greed, injustice, exploitation, and religious service motivated by money while calling God’s people back to righteousness, mercy, humility, and faithfulness. Together these books remind us that effective ministry requires more than preaching the right message—we must enter into fellowship with the heart of God. Even when we fail, we can turn again to the One who pardons sin, delights in mercy, lifts the fallen, and calls His people to do what is right, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him.
