6. Free Will And The Conscience

One of God’s greatest gifts to humanity is the freedom to choose. In this study, we examine how free will is essential to holiness because genuine obedience must be voluntary rather than forced. God never removes a believer’s ability to choose, even after conversion or being filled with the Holy Spirit. The message also highlights the vital role of conscience, comparing it to the eyes of the body and the pain receptors that protect physical health. Just as neglecting eyesight can lead to blindness, repeatedly ignoring conscience can lead to spiritual blindness and insensitivity to God’s voice. Through confession, repentance, and the cleansing blood of Christ, believers can maintain a pure conscience and grow in holiness, spiritual discernment, and fellowship with God.
