Ezekiel

The life of Ezekiel reveals what God can do through a servant who is willing to come completely under His authority. Called from the safer life of a priest to the costly ministry of a prophet, Ezekiel learned to go where God sent him, speak when God told him to speak, remain silent when God told him to be silent, and receive God’s Word for himself before giving it to others. Through his life and prophetic visions, we see the sovereignty of God over our circumstances, the necessity of humility, obedience, holiness, and a clear conscience, and the indispensable work of the Holy Spirit. From the valley of dry bones to the river flowing from God’s temple, Ezekiel points us toward New Covenant life—a people filled with God’s Spirit, separated from earthly attachments, bearing His glory, and living wholly for Him.

1 John 5:20

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
