Daniel

The book of Daniel presents the extraordinary testimony of a man who chose from his youth to stand for God without compromise and remained faithful into old age. Living in a hostile environment, Daniel believed in the sovereignty of God, maintained a clear conscience, prayed faithfully, refused to defile himself, and feared God more than earthly rulers. His example encouraged Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to stand firm as well, showing that God does not need great numbers but faithful people who will refuse to bow when everyone else does. Through fiery trials, the lions’ den, prophetic visions, intercessory prayer, and revelations concerning future kingdoms and the coming of Christ, Daniel’s life challenges believers to remain upright, prayerful, humble, courageous, and uncompromising. His testimony points ultimately to those who know their God, remain strong under persecution, turn others to righteousness, and shine like the stars forever.

1 John 5:20

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
