Isaiah-1

The first thirty-nine chapters of Isaiah give us a powerful vision of the Holy One of Israel—a sovereign God who hates sin, judges pride and hypocrisy, calls His people to repentance, and yet extends grace and cleansing to those who turn to Him. At the heart of this section stands Isaiah’s vision of the Lord in chapter 6, where seeing God’s holiness causes the prophet first to recognize his own uncleanness, then to receive cleansing, and finally to answer God’s call: “Here am I. Send me.” Throughout these chapters we also encounter remarkable prophecies of Christ, warnings against self-will and dependence upon man, promises of perfect peace and resurrection, and the call to walk on the Highway of Holiness. Isaiah reminds us that true service begins not with activity, but with seeing God, humbling ourselves before Him, receiving His grace, and surrendering ourselves to His will.
