Romans-1

The Gospel of God revealed in Romans is far greater than the forgiveness of sins. Step by step, Paul leads us from recognizing our true condition as sinners to justification by faith, peace with God, freedom from sin, sanctification, consecration, fellowship in the Body of Christ, and an ever-deepening participation in the life and nature of Christ. Yet the foundation of this Full Gospel is humility: we must recognize that we have nothing in ourselves in which to boast and that everything we receive from God is a gift of grace. When we see both the depth of our need and the abundance of God’s grace, spiritual pride loses its ground. We can then press onward—from faith to faith—desiring everything God intends for us in Christ.
