Psalms-1

The Book of Psalms reveals the heart of godly men who learned to seek, trust, praise, and obey God through every circumstance of life. In this study of Psalms 1–72, we see the importance of meditating on God’s Word until it becomes part of our lives, trusting Him in suffering and opposition, controlling our speech, seeking His guidance, praising Him in adversity, casting our burdens upon Him, and finding our satisfaction in His presence. Many of these Psalms also point prophetically to Christ—His suffering, resurrection, kingship, and work of redemption. Yet the study closes with an important warning: spiritual truth is of little value if we merely hear, sing, or admire it without practicing it. The Psalms therefore call us beyond knowledge to a life in which God’s Word is believed, obeyed, and lived.

1 John 5:20

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
