Nehemiah & Esther

The books of Nehemiah and Esther reveal a searching contrast between believers who live for the glory and purposes of God and those who remain governed by comfort, security, and self-interest. Nehemiah demonstrates the burden, sacrifice, prayer, courage, leadership, and uncompromising devotion required to build for God, refusing to be distracted by opposition or concerned with his own reputation. Esther, meanwhile, reveals the sovereign hand of God working invisibly behind the scenes to preserve His people, even when His name is not explicitly mentioned. Together, these accounts challenge believers to move beyond merely seeking God’s protection and blessings and instead surrender themselves wholeheartedly to accomplishing His will—trusting that the Almighty God who neither slumbers nor sleeps is fully able to protect those who live for Him.

1 John 5:20

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
