Ephesians-1

Paul’s letter to the Ephesians reveals that the Christian life is far more than having our sins forgiven and knowing that we are going to heaven. God calls us to spiritual maturity—to understand our position in Christ and to live a heavenly life while still on earth. Ephesians 1–3 lays the foundation of what God has done for us and in us: He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ, chosen us to be holy, given us the Holy Spirit, raised us with Christ, and seated us in the heavenly places. From this foundation flows the life described in Ephesians 4–6. We cannot merely imitate Christ outwardly; God must first work within us so that He can work through us. Through the revelation and power of the Holy Spirit, Christ can truly be at home in our hearts, and we can grow toward the fullness God intends for His children.
