19. Likeness To Christ

This message explores the deeper purpose of Christ’s coming to earth. While His sacrificial death secured forgiveness of sins, God’s ultimate goal is far greater—to transform believers into the likeness of His Son. Jesus not only became our Savior but also our perfect example, demonstrating complete submission to the Father’s will. Through the indwelling Holy Spirit, God renews our minds, changes our attitudes, and progressively conforms us to the character of Christ. Romans 8:29 reveals that God’s predetermined destination for His children is not merely heaven but conformity to Jesus Christ. Every circumstance in a believer’s life is used by God to accomplish this purpose as we willingly cooperate with His transforming work.
