Through the Bible – Message 69

Revelation-1
In this study of Revelation chapters 1–8, Zac Poonen explains that the Book of Revelation is primarily an unveiling of Jesus Christ and His kingdom, rather than merely a prediction of future events. Beginning with John’s vision of the risen Christ, he examines the Lord’s messages to the seven churches, emphasizing wholehearted devotion, repentance, faithfulness through persecution, and the promise given to overcomers. The study continues with the heavenly throne, the Lamb who alone is worthy to open the sealed book, the seven seals, and the beginning of the seven trumpets. Throughout the message, believers are reminded that Jesus Christ rules over all earthly authorities, hears the prayers of His people, and remains sovereign even amid suffering and judgment. The central exhortation is to set our minds on things above, live in readiness for Christ’s return, and find our security in Him rather than in the things of this world.
