Malachi

The Book of Malachi closes the Old Testament with a searching message to God’s people: Do we truly honor the Lord, or are we giving Him what remains after we have kept the best for ourselves? Through Malachi’s rebuke of polluted sacrifices, unfaithful leaders, compromised homes, careless speech, and empty religion, we are called to fear God, give Him the best of our time, energy, resources, and lives, walk faithfully in our homes, and allow Him to purify us until the likeness of Christ is seen in us. Malachi also reveals God’s faithful remnant—those who fear His name, speak of Him, and are remembered before Him—and closes with the urgent call to prepare a people for the coming of the Lord.
