1 & 2 Peter

In this study of 1 and 2 Peter, Zac Poonen explains the true grace of God and its transforming power in the life of a believer. Drawing on 1 Peter 5:12, he shows that God’s grace is not limited to forgiving sins but also works through trials, suffering, obedience, humility, and fellowship to purify our character and make us more like Jesus Christ. He emphasizes the importance of following Christ’s example when we suffer unjustly, submit to God’s will, and show gentleness and love in our relationships. Turning to 2 Peter, he reveals the extraordinary promise that believers can partake of God’s divine nature, grow in godliness, and remain steadfast against false teaching while awaiting the return of Jesus Christ. Together, these letters call Christians to experience God’s grace as a living, transforming reality.

1 John 5:20

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
