8. God Gives Us The Desire And Ability To Do His Will

Many believers understand biblical truths intellectually yet fail to experience the spiritual reality God intends. In this message, the true meaning of the Sabbath is revealed as a life of rest in Christ rather than mere observance of a day. Jesus invites His followers to learn humility and gentleness from Him, taking His yoke upon themselves and finding rest for their souls. This New Covenant rest is entered through dependence upon God, responding to the promptings of the Holy Spirit rather than acting from self-effort, human wisdom, or personal initiative. Just as a branch bears fruit only by abiding in the vine, believers are called to trust God to produce His life within them. Through the New Covenant promise, God places His desires in our minds and His power in our hearts, enabling us to do His will. The result is a life where all boasting ceases, Christ becomes our wisdom, righteousness, holiness, and redemption, and we enter the true Sabbath rest that God intended for His people.

1 John 5:20

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
