Who is True

Fundamental Biblical Truths Message 1

Fundamental Biblical Truths Message 1

June 15, 2026 Marion Merriweather Comments 0 Comment

1. God’s Purpose For Man

This message examines God’s original purpose in creating mankind and reveals the unique distinction between humans and animals: man was created with a spirit capable of fellowship with God. Drawing primarily from Genesis 1, it explains that humanity was made in God’s image to represent Him on earth, exercise spiritual authority, and enjoy intimate fellowship with Him. Through Adam’s disobedience, mankind fell from this calling and became enslaved to sin, but through Christ and the indwelling Holy Spirit, believers are restored to God’s original intention. The Christian life is therefore not merely about forgiveness or attending religious services, but about increasingly reflecting God’s character, overcoming sin, living as Christ’s ambassadors, and fulfilling the purpose for which God created humanity.

1 John 5:20

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
