What did Jesus come to earth to do? Beyond dying for our sins, Jesus revealed through His entire life what it means for a Man to live wholly surrendered to the Father: “not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.” In this study through the Gospel of John, Zac Poonen traces that surrendered life through self-denial, the way of the cross, freedom from sin, compassion toward sinners, moment-by-moment dependence upon the Father, obedience to the Holy Spirit, love for one another, and fruitfulness that comes through death to self.
