1 Corinthians-2

In this study through 1 Corinthians, Zac Poonen presents the Christian life as one of purity, self-control, responsible freedom, love, and faithful service within the Body of Christ. Believers are called to flee temptation, refuse to use personal liberty in ways that cause others to stumble, handle ministry and money with integrity, and do everything for the glory of God. The teaching then turns to the church as one Body with many members, showing that no gift or ministry is sufficient by itself and that there should be neither competition nor independence among believers. Spiritual gifts must function within the Body and be exercised in love, for love is what makes spiritual power a blessing rather than a source of harm. The lesson concludes with the call to steadfast faithfulness and the simple governing principle for Christian life and church life: let everything be done in love.

1 John 5:20

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
