That We May Know Him

Who is True

All That Jesus Taught-Lesson 70

All That Jesus Taught-Lesson 70

This teaching from Matthew 24–25 emphasizes that the true focus of Christ’s return is not predicting the timing but cultivating readiness. Jesus calls believers to live in constant watchfulness, like faithful servants and wise virgins who are prepared both outwardly and inwardly. While many may appear ready, only those filled with the Holy Spirit—symbolized by the oil—will endure the delay and be truly prepared. The message is clear: remain faithful, avoid spiritual complacency, and ensure a deep inner life with God, because when Christ returns, it will be sudden, and preparation will no longer be possible.

1 John 5:20

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
