All That Jesus Taught-Lesson 16

In this study, we examine Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 28:20 and the Sermon on the Mount that true discipleship means teaching believers to obey everything He commanded—especially in the areas of anger and lust. Jesus raised the Old Covenant standard from avoiding murder and adultery to dealing with anger and lust at the heart level. By examining Christ’s life, we learn the difference between righteous anger (zeal for God’s honor) and sinful anger (self-centered irritation), and we see why Jesus warned that both anger and lust can lead to hell (Matthew 5:22, 29–30). The message concludes by emphasizing that victory over these sins requires reverence for God—not merely Bible knowledge.
