All That Jesus Taught-Lesson 34

This study from Matthew 8 explores how Jesus not only calmed the storm on the sea but also came to deliver believers from the deeper storm of fear—especially the fear of death. Drawing from Hebrews 2:14–15 and other scriptures, the teaching explains that Christ’s death not only forgives sin but also breaks Satan’s power and frees believers from lifelong slavery to fear. The storms of life—whether sickness, trials, or danger—are allowed by God so that believers may discover Christ’s authority to bring peace even in the midst of difficulty. When a believer’s life is fully surrendered to God’s will, they can live with confidence that their days are determined by Him and that nothing can happen outside His sovereign control. Through faith in Christ, Christians can overcome fear, live in spiritual authority, and experience the calmness of heart that Jesus demonstrated even in the midst of the storm.
